Q1 – Detail two reasons why we change the ISO-

For my pop-art design I had to put the iso to 400 or lower because I was indoor and the light was already the so I didn’t need a high iso. 100 I.S.O. will do just fine and create nice, clean colorful images across the board.

Q2 – Explain the difference in depth of field between a wide and a narrow apature

When the apature is narrow you will find it difficult to get the two objects that you want to take the picture of will if you do a wide apature you will find it easier to take the picture with two objects.

Q3 – List four consideration you had to take into account when producing your pop-art photography. For example, depth of field, shadows etc)

1.    The things that I took to consideration in this assessment was the lighting because I wanted more detail in the object

2.    The other thing I took to consideration was the shadows because i wanted no shadows in the picture.

3.  the camera settings that because i had to change the ISO and aperture and Manuel.

4.  the depth of field was  the nearest and farthest objects that appear in acceptably sharp focus in a photograph.

Q4. Describe when would you choose to use the ‘A’ and the ‘P’ modes on a camera
When the camera settings is set on Manuel because you have the freedom to change the camera settings to your own chose for example the brightness level and it also gives you the freedom to change the set of affects in your photo.

Evaluation

In this assessment I had to make a pop-art design, pop-art is art based on modern popular culture and the mass media. To make this first we had to take chose the a object that we loved or see everyday the object that i chose was a Xbox controller because i forget to bring my own object. Next i had to take pictures of the object using a Lumix camera with a red lighting to make the object to stand out more, before i layed out more re lighting and camera i had to check more camera settings like checking on the ISO and things such as shutter speed,aperture and Manuel, the ISO had to be low because the photos were taken inside also they should be no shutter speed because i had the red head lighting to take pictures with. Next i had to take 30 test shots using the Xbox controller and FCUK spray i used the red head lighting to make the picture stand out and with more detail and the camera with improved camera settings to make the picture more clear. After that i add all of the 30 picture to the computer and made a contact sheet using Photoshop, after i made the contact i had to make pop-art by using Photoshop. To make a pop-art first i had to chose the photo that i wanted and that was the FCUK spray then select by opening it in Photoshop after that i had to make it black and white by pressing Ctrl-Shift-U,the i had to remove that background by using the magic wand tool after i remove the background,next i add a new layer by pressing Ctrl j then next  if you want to make the patterns you have got to filter gallery, then you have go to the sketch folder and click on the halftone pattern, if the size is a bit funny you have to change the size depends on the size of the pictures. Next you go to the pattern type and chose what type you want the most common is Dot i would chose that if i were you.Next go to Filter and go to sharpen and then smart sharpen and make the amount to 500, radius to 1 and reduce noise to 0 and the remove to Gaussian blur. Next go to layers and go to the blend mode and change it to multiply, then you make a new layer and put it below the layer 1, then go to the colour picker and pick what ever colour you want, then you press Alt + Delete. Next to make the picture to have pop-art have more pictures you need to add the ruler tool and make the picture have section to them and then you make the picture small and add if to one section the you copy and paste to get another picture and you put it to another section you keep on doing it until you have finished adding the picture to each section. That i how i made the Pop-art Design using Photoshop.

In this lesson we had to take shots of the one things that means the most to you and take pictures of them. I chose a Xbox and spray because it forget to bring my on objects. for the camera the camera that i had to use was lumix 300 because it is the one the college use and i had to use lighting to make the object more clear to see. For the shots i had to take 30 because that what the assessment brief. for the camera settings i had to change because i was taking the camera indoors so for the ISO i had to change it to 100,200 because the is more light and i am using lighting so i can add more details, so i had to change the camera setting to Manuel because it makes you set everything yourself like the ISO,shutter speed and aperture so next i want to take the it will give me the control over the exposure parameters.

For my pop art the image that will be the center is my broken ps3 controller with the ps3 controller having different colors and the background will will be different from the colour of the controller for example if the controller colour is blue the background colour will be red. the props that i will need for my pop art image is a camera,lighting for the object to be more clear and finally you will need a background to take the picture. the reason why i will need to have all of them props and objects is because for the camera the reason why i will need them is because you need it to take the picture and to use it you need to check the setting for example the ISO should be low because we are indoors and the is enough light already also the pictures gives more detail. the reason why i need the lighting for the pop-art is because it brings light to the object and if you want you can have a shadow as evidence that you used the lighting for extra details in the objects that i am doing. the object that i am doing is a ps3 controller because it is the object that i used too much everyday and loved until is broke. for the background the background that i will use is probably a blue or black background because their both dark colours and it will give the object more to stand out also after i do all of the settings for the camera and setting up the background and lighting next i need to take the pictures about 20,30 or 40 to make sure if a make a mistake i can improve it after i take the shots you make a pop-art by using photoshop.

What was the time period? Pop-art is a movement that was raised during the 1950s and the late 1950s that happened in USA. The place where you can find pop-art is the streets, art gallery and shops for example IKEA where you can buy them, some of the famous pop-artist are Keith Haring, Claes Oldenburg& Coosje van Bruggen, Robert Rauschenberg, Richard Hamilton, Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol. The features of pop-art are is having a theme, expressive techniques and formal features, for example for the theme you could have Mona Lisa or Marilyn Monroe as the centerpiece of an artistic work and for expressive techniques their frequently used with combing paintings with objects and bright colours, the techniques that you could use is painting, photography and silkscreen. The drawing inspiration from sources in popular and commercial culture such as advertising, which uses the imagery, styles, and themes of advertising, mass media, and popular culture. Pop-art were probably created by mass media and popular culture which was common in the modern era and high art theme has many theme and is different creation from different art because of the morality, mythology, and classic history. The pop art could be used for presenting and advertising and the place where you can find them is shops like lkea and museum, the products that I would probably use for the pop-arts for the advertising is a ps3 controller because that I what represent.
